1. Sthira-Sukham Asanam
Patanjali's Yoga Sutra 2.46 states: "The posture should be steady (Sthira) and comfortable (Sukha)." True confidence is this balance. It is not rigid (too much Sthira) and it is not lazy (too much Sukha).
When you are insecure, you oscillate between trying too hard (stiffness) and collapsing (slouching). Asana teaches you to stack your bones so you can stand tall with zero effort.
2. Tadasana: The Mountain
The simplest and hardest pose. Standing fast. A mountain does not seek validation from the wind. It does not apologize for blocking the sun. It just is.
"Root to rise."
To go high (confidence), you must go low (grounding).
3. The 4-Corner Foot
Practice: The Base
When you feel shaky in a social situation:
- Shift focus to your feet.
- Press down through the big toe mount, pinky toe mount, and both sides of the heel.
- Grip the floor like a bird on a branch.
- Physically lock yourself into the earth. Your mind will stabilize instantly.
