1. Truth is a Force
Most people avoid conflict (cowardice) or attack (aggression). Satyagraha is the third way. It is the belief that if you stand firmly in the truth, the truth itself puts pressure on the opponent. You do not need to shout. You just need to *not move*.
2. Ahimsa (Non-Violence) in Speech
Violence is not just hitting. Violence is manipulation, guilt-tripping, and silent treatment. Satyagraha requires you to state your needs clearly without trying to wound the other person.
"I cannot do this." (Boundaries) "You made me feel bad." (Blame/Violence)
3. The Vow of Persistence
Practice: The Broken Record
When someone pushes your boundary:
- State the boundary kindly. "I am not available for that."
- They will push. (They always do).
- Do not get angry. Do not apologize.
- Repeat the boundary. "I understand, but I am not available."
- Hold the Truth. Let them tire themselves out against your rock.
